There isn’t many better than John Malkovich for portraying a huge amount of different characters, so we can definitely see him embedding into a role as a KGB Agent for the new Reagan movie.
The film will be based on the life of Ronald Reagan, taking us through his early days in his hometown in Dixon, Illinois, then onto a successful career as an actor and consequentially becoming the President of the United States of America. Malkovich would play Viktor Petrovich, an old KGB Agent who’ll recount the life of the 40th President, as he was placed to keep an eye on Reagan due to his anti-communist ties.
This story has come direct from the Cannes Film Festival, which means it’s currently doing the rounds and looking for a director, with a script based on two Reagan books by Paul Kengor.
These are early days in discussion, of course, but we’ll bring all the news as and when we hear it!
