It has been reported that Emma Watson and John Travolta have been sought after to star in a high profile Bollywood film to be made by ELIZABETH director Shekhar Kapur.
The 24-year-old NOAH actress has been reportedly approached for a central role as love interest to the male lead played by Indian actor, Sushant Singh Rajput. It is uncertain whether Emma Watson will take the role but John Travolta has firmly said of his interest in the project
“I have been offered a film that I am considering doing… I believe it is an honest Bollywood film and it is called Paani, by Shekhar Kapoor. He has asked me to be a part of it.
“I have known Shekhar for a while now. Even though the script does not have it, Shekhar said he will put a song to make it truly Bollywood.
“I am open to working in Hindi films if I like the story and my part.”
PAANI will be set years in the future where the planet’s supply of water becomes obsolete and as a result, wars are created. Sounds like the funkier alternate universe to box-office bomb WATERWORLD starring Kevin Costner! Lets hope John Travolta ends up shouting the line “Wet land is not a myth! I have seen it!”
