The Hollywood News were out in the cold in London’s Leicester Square last night for the amazing X-MEN DAYS OF FUTURE PAST premiere, as too were Total Film who seem to have bagged themselves a bit of a scoop. The guys at the site asked X-Men producer Lauren Shuler Donner who she’d like to see on the screen next, to which she replied X-Force and Gambit. The magazine’s interviewer mentioned that Channing Tatum’s name had been rumoured recently, which Donner immediately interupted by saying: “It is Channing.”
Wow. So there it is… confirmed.
She added.
“Well, he’s a rogue, Channing. He’s a rascal, just like Remy LeBeau. He can handle the action, we all know that. And he has a really good heart, because I know him personally. I did a movie with him. So I think he’ll be great for Gambit. He’s a Southerner too. He’s not from New Orleans, but he is a Southerner and understands that world. And you know Gambit loves New Orleans.”
