The first image from the new Terry Jones film has just been released as the film wraps up shooting.

The film stars Simon Pegg as a school teacher who is given the gift to do anything he wants by a group of aliens in space. Jones and his fellow MONTY PYTHON co-stars John Cleese, Eric Idle, Michael Palin and Terry Gilliam will voice the aliens in this eagarly awaited film.

The film also features UNDERWORLD star Kate Beckinsale, US comic Rob Riggle and Robin Williams who will voice Pegg’s pet dog. Upon finishing the shoot Jones said:

” Kate, Simon and Rob breathed such life into the characters.  I couldn’t have imagined anyone else playing those parts.”

The script which was written by Jones and SMALL SOLDIERS writer Gavin Scott will be the first film Jones has directed since WIND IN THE WILLOWS in 1996. Aliens are becoming quite a thing for Simon Pegg after performances in PAUL, STAR TREK,  STAR TREK: INTO DARKNESS and THE WORLDS END.  I can see this film being a sure fire hit with the sheer amount of talent behind it.

Lionsgate is set to release the film in the UK between April and June 2015.
