It’s that time of the year when all the big wig channels in America decide what we will (or will not) be watching into 2014 and 2015. Following the news that the Batman prequel Gotham will be getting a full series, Fox have announced that Empire and Red Band Society will also get a full series.
Empire is a hip hop based family drama created by PRECIOUS and THE BUTLER director Lee Daniels. It follows hip-hop mogul Lucious Lyon (played by Terrence Howard) as he splits his time between the music industry and caring for his family. It also stars Taraji P. Henson and Gabourey Sidibe. It is also set to feature both original and current music with Timbaland serving as music producer.
Red Band Society follows a group of teenagers who become friends and allies in a children’s wing of a hospital. It stars THE HELP’s Octavia Spencer and co-stars Dave Annable, Griffin Gluck and PALO ALTO’s Zoe Levin. Steven Spielberg serves as executive producer.
Fox is getting itself a nice little line-up for the new TV season, what do you think?

The writer doesnt know what full series means…. Those shows were each picked up to series with the standard 13 episode pick up.. Fox will decide if they want to give a full season order or not which hasnt happened yet and likely wont happend until after a few episodes have aired this fall
