Married megastars Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are to star on screen together for the first time since 2005’s MR. & MRS. SMITH in a project scripted by Jolie herself. The script will be an original piece and not based on pre-existing material. MR. & MRS. SMITH was produced before the pair were officially an item, so it’s interesting the duo have left it nearly a decade (probably will be by the time this film comes out) to star together again.
Meanwhile Jolie is putting the finishing touches to UNBROKEN, her second feature after the critically panned IN THE LAND OF BLOOD AND HONEY. UNBROKEN looks to be a safer bet though, based on the book by Laura Hillenbrand with a script written in part by the Coen brothers. Bradd Pitt has recently finished shooting David Ayers’ FURY.
