Can you believe it’s been about 9 years since Greg McLean’s disturbing, stark and innovative Aussie horror WOLF CREEK hit cinema screens in 2005?
Well the wait for its sequel is nearly over and you’ll be pleased to know…Mick is back, and he hasn’t changed one bit.
Based (partly) on a medley of real life murderers, serial killer Mick (played by perhaps the most Australian bloke in the world, John Jarratt) hates backpackers. Like, really hates them and their wild stereotypical partying ways. He has a point.
WOLF CREEK 2 sees Mick meeting a new set of travellers and showing them a sunny psychopathic welcome. You can check out a new short clip below, showing Mick getting acquainted with one of his new chums.
WOLF CREEK 2 is available on VOD and in US cinemas from May 18. No news on a UK release date yet.
Claire Joanne Huxham comes from the south-west, where the cider flows free and the air smells of manure. She teaches A-level English by day and fights crime by night. When not doing either of these things she can usually be found polishing her Star Trek DVD boxsets. And when she can actually be bothered she writes fiction and poetry that pops up on the web and in print. Her favourite film in the whole world, ever, is BLADE RUNNER.
