Tomas Alfredson has been confirmed to direct the adaptation of Jo Nesbo’s Scandinavian crime thriller THE SNOWMAN.
Martin Scorsese was set to direct, but instead will now executive produce the project alongside; Nesbo, Niclas Salomonsson, Liza Chasin, and Amelia Granger. The script will be adapted by Alfredson and Soren Sveistrup, the creator behind Forbrydelsen (the Danish series that inspired The Killing).
The Snowman is one of ten novels about “loose cannon” detective Harry Hole. The book follows Hole’s investigation into the mysterious disappearance of a dozen women, who go missing on the day of the first snowfall. Check out the book trailer below:
