Check Out This Featurette For Russell Crowe’s ‘The Water Diviner’

After appearing in this month’s NOAH, which opened to mixed reviews but relatively decent box-office, Russell Crowe finally steps behind the camera for THE WATER DIVINER later this year.

The period film is based on  a screenplay by Andrew Knight and Andrew Anastasios, and stars Crowe, Olga Kurylenko and Jai Courtney.

In 1919, four years after the devastating Battle of Gallipoli, a father (Russell Crowe) embarks on a journey from Australia to Turkey to discover the fate of his sons who have been reported missing in action.

There is no specific release date set, but Entertainment One are looking at a winter 2014 debut.

A first featurette for the film has just been released, and you can watch it below.

I wouldn’t categorize a 77% on Rotten Tomatoes as mixed, or a gross of over $300 million as “relatively decent”. But that’s just me. I liked NOAH and I’m looking forward to The Water Diviner. Bias reporting can be such a downer. Nobody likes a bad loser. I’m sorry if you were offended by a Hollywood Fantasy Film, but false reporting shouldn’t make you feel better. I hate when so many aggressively attack someone or something so small. Agree to disagree, and move on.
