Clark Gregg Asks Us To ‘Trust Me’ In Latest Trailer

Clark Gregg, known to us all as Agent Coulson from the Marvel films and TV series, takes the lead role in what looks to be an exceptionally charming comedy set in the cutthroat world of children’s talent agents. Gregg plays Howard, a down on his luck agent for child actors. He seems to be pipped to the post with every client by Sam Rockwell’s Aldo when it comes to acquiring talent to represent, but that all changes when Howard meets a new upstart, played by genuine up and comer, Saxon Sharbino.

What follows looks to be a kind and funny film, in which Howard soon falls for Sharpino’s mother, played by Amanda Peet. Not only does Gregg star, but he also writes and directs, making this his follow-up to his 2008 debut, the Chuck Palahniuk adaptation CHOKE. Gregg also wrote the the very satisfying 2000 thriller, WHAT LIES BENEATH, so he’s certainly no stranger to the world of film making outside of acting.

TRUST ME is looking to be a very passionate comedy with some great talent involved as well as focusing on an area that’s ripe for parody. Fingers crossed we’ll hear more about a release date soon.
