Fans of the BBC Drama will be taking out their magnifying glasses for a closer look at this one, as Martin Freeman teased the audience on Channel 4’s Alan Carr: Chatty Man, of a possible one-off special this year.
The Fargo actor revealed in the interview (Shown Friday 25th April), that he is uncertain of a three episode series happening this year due to the cast and crew’s busy work schedules, Freeman said:
“Mark Gatiss may beat me up, but there is an idea for this one-off special that’s such a good idea, and as I was listening to it I thought ‘we’ve just got to do this'”.
With time constraints, a one-off special could very well be the answer to their problem – even the writers are finding it difficult to find time for the show! Even if one episode of Sherlock comes around this year it will certainly be a far sight better than waiting for another 2 years for the next series!
