Jackie Earle Haley To Direct Feature Debut ‘Criminal Activities’

WATCHMEN actor Jackie Earle Haley is set to take a seat in the director’s chair for CRIMINAL ACTIVITIES.

The indie crime drama will be the first time Haley has stepped behind the lens, with the character actor also set to star alongside a cast comprised of John Travolta (PULP FICTION), Michael Pitt (Boardwalk Empire) and former Downton Abbey star Dan Stevens, continuing in his aim to crack America.

The plot follows four young men who reunite at an old school friend’s funeral. When one of them offers inside information on an investment that is guaranteed to make them millionaires, things descend when one of them borrows money from a notorious mobster.

Haley, who has been acting since the 70s,  has made the most of his recent second career wind since his Oscar nominated turn in 2006’s LITTLE CHILDREN, starring in a whole array of films including SHUTTER ISLAND, LINCOLN and this year’s ROBOCOP remake.

He will next be seen in BOLDEN! alongside The Walking Dead actor Michael Rooker, released in the States this November. CRIMINAL ACTIVITIES will commence filming this coming June.
