Steven Yuen & Felicia Day ‘Chew’ On Voice Roles

ChewThe upcoming animated adaptation of comic series CHEW has just announced two of its leads. Steven Yuen and Felicia Day will both be putting their voices to roles in an animated film that follows a cibopathic detective. Cibopathic means that he can take on memories of anything he eats, which may not sound very useful at first, until the aptly named detective, Tony Chu, decides to have a bit of a nibble on corpses.

Yuen, one of the stars of THE WALKING DEAD, will provide the voice of the main character while Day will voice the love interest and food critic, Amelia Mintz. Jeff Krelitz is set to direct, having already tackled the form in the animated Torchwood: Web Of Lies.

The very concept of the comics is intriguing with never ending prospects, so a TV series would have been nice, but hopefully this digital download and home entertainment release will gather quite the following and turn more people over to the books written by John Layman.
