Skydance Confirms ‘Terminator: Genesis’ Begins Filming

It’s the day that all TERMINATOR purists have been dreading. Camera’s have started rolling on TERMINATOR: GENESIS. Production company Skydance Productions took to their Facebook page to share a photo of the film’s first slate.

Don’t worry folks we believe the ‘RIP Sarah’ tag is the crew honouring Sarah Jones, the camera operator who recently died, and is not referencing the films main character Sarah Connor, played this time around by Game of Thrones’ Emilia Clarke.

Plot details are being kept closely guarded but James Cameron took to Reddit recently to say that he believes they have come up with a good idea. What we do know is that the film will more than likely shift around a lot more in time than previous films, and includes Miles Dyson, Kyle Reese and John Connor.

The original turns thirty this year and easily holds its own against most of todays films. Schwarzenegger is onboard once more and has commented that the film will be full of ‘hardcore action’ and felt very much like TERMINATOR 2: JUDGEMENT DAY when he read the script.

TERMINATOR: GENESIS is being directed by THOR: THE DARK WORLD’s Alan Taylor and stars Emilia Clarke, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Jai Courtney will be released 1st July 2015.
