Boyle & DiCaprio Could Reunite For Steve Jobs Biopic

We’ve already had one Steve Jobs biopic in the form of JOBS, but we need two. Although it may not have been first out of the starting gate, the upcoming vehicle is certainly the one attracting all the big names, even when some of those names dropout. It’s understandable when the script comes from writer darling Aaron Sorkin, responsible for The West Wing and THE SOCIAL NETWORK. Originally David Fincher had been all ready to direct and reportedly looked to have Christian Bale in the lead, but after Fincher departed Sony moved quick and are in talks with Danny Boyle.

Boyle is also said to have spoken with his THE BEACH star, Leonardo DiCaprio, regarding the lead role. It would be quite the part, and the film sounds challenging in itself, as the script takes place during three separate run-ups to Jobs’ signature presentations. Although there is no clarification for any talent other than Sorkin at this time, the very idea of DiCaprio and Boyle working together again is an exciting prospect as they have both come along way since 2000’s THE BEACH.
