If you thought that the world was safe from The Jennings family and their spying ways you can think again! It has been revealed that FX will be ordering a third season of KGB drama The Americans.
The series, created and produced by former CIA officer Joe Weisberg, follows Elizabeth and Philip Jennings (Keri Russell and Matthew Rhys), two Soviet KGB Officers posing as an American married couple living in the suburbs of Washington D.C. alongside their unsuspecting young children and their FBI agent neighbour Stan Beeman (Noah Emmerich).
Eric Schrier, President of Original Programming For FX Network said this about the news:
“The Americans continues be one of the best shows on television. Executive Producers Joe Weisberg, Joel Fields and Graham Yost have done a wonderful job delivering two seasons, and the performances from Keri Russell, Matthew Rhys and Noah Emmerich are stellar. Fans will be blown away by the rest of this season, and we can’t wait to see what they come up with next year.”
Season Two is currently airing on FX in the US, and ITV1 in the UK.
