In a surprise casting move, it has been revealed that Johnny Depp could be up for a role in Kevin Smith’s TUSK, a film that originated from one of his famous podcasts.
The film, described as a horror, will revolve around a character named Wallace (Long), a journalist on a mission. He finds the story of a lifetime in Mr. Howe (Michael Parks), a worldwide adventurer with amazing tales and a curious penchant for walruses.
The news of Depp’s addition to the cast, which is led by Justin Long, surfaced over at NewsDay, who report that Depp may assume the role of Guy Lapointe, a French-Canadian detective. Genesis Rodriguez and Haley Joel Osment also star.
The film has a released date set for later this year with shooting kicking off soon. Smith directs from his own screenplay.
