In our second POINT BREAK post of the day (read about the tone of the film and comparisons to the original here), it has been revealed that Ray Winstone has joined the cast of the Ericson Core directed actioner, playing a non-villainous role.
Variety are reporting the news, so you can take this as gospel pretty much, and they say that Winstone will play the partner of Johnny Utah (here played by Luke Bracey; Keanu Reeves in the original). Although the story is completely different, Winstone will be playing the part that Gary Busey played in the first film.
I actually totally agree with this casting, so long as Winstone retains his cockney accent for the role, and not some put-on American one. That would be bloody awful.
POINT BREAK stars Gerard Butler as Bodhi, and will open in cinemas in 2015.
