Yes, you’re reading that headline correct, and no, it’s not April 1st, so relax. Apparently the director of THE GOONIES, as well as films like SUPERMAN: THE MOVIE and the LETHAL WEAPON series Richard Donner, has confirmed to gossip website TMZ.com that a sequel to the cult, much loved 1980s comedy adventure is on the way.
Donner was out and about signing autographs in Beverly Hills when he dropped the massive news, and added that he’s bringing back the original cast for one more adventure, 28 years later. Great news if you’re Corey Feldman, Josh Brolin, or that ace little guy that played Data.
