Game Of Thrones returns to screens both sides on the Atlantic this weekend, giving fans a chance to catch-up with the folks of Westeros. One of the show’s stars will be introduced to a new set of fantasy fans soon though, after being cast in THE HUNGER GAMES: MOCKINGJAY.
Gwedoline Christie who plays the incredibly popular Brienne Of Tarth will replace American Horror Story‘s Lily Rabe as Commander Lyme. Lyme is one of the leaders of the forgotten District 13, and is a former District 2 tribute and victor. Rabe was forced to leave after filming clashed with a previous commitment with a production of Much Ado About Nothing.
MOCKINGJAY, the final installment in the series lead by Jennifer Lawrence, will be the split into two films. The cameras started rolling with Rabe in September, with Francis Lawrence directing, and it appears that Christie will take over the role for the second film.
THE HUNGER GAMES: MOCKINGJAY PART ONE is released 21st November 2014, with Part 2 to be released almost exactly a year later on 20th November 2015.
