Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore rejoin forces for a third cinematic outing in BLENDED. Having previously starred together in THE WEDDING SINGER and 50 FIRST DATES, BLENDED is set to have some great chemistry between the leads. The film sees two single parents who, after going on a failed date, conveniently end up at the same holiday destination with their kids. No doubt the two put their differences behind them and end up together, but it’ll be the journey that audiences will find interesting or not.
I have to say it doesn’t look great by any stretch. The best jokes all go to the kids, and I’m probably just being kind because they’re little, and the film seems to be going for every cliche under the sun, with Drew Barrymore reaching out to Sandler’s daughters and I’m guessing Sandler will give fatherly advice to Barrymore’s sons.
BLENDED is released 23rd May. It stars Adam Sandler, Drew Barrymore, Terry Crews, and Bella Thorne.
