Can you believe it was 2005 when we were first tortured and terrorised by John Jarratt’s madman Mick Taylor in the outback in the truly chilling WOLF CREEK? Well, now we’ve got the first trailer for the sequel – aptly named WOLF CREEK 2 – which is obviously upping the ante with explosions, car chases and a whole lot of being chased down in Oz. Greg Mclean returns for the sequel in the director’s chair after the in-between ROGUE in 2007, and this time he teams up with Aaron Stern on writing duty, seemingly heading back to what they know and to try and re-launch that monster.
This time, it focuses around the premise of two young, idealistic backpackers who are out to explore the ‘real’ Australia and travel to the desolate Wolf Creek National Park, always a clever move in any thriller-horror..especially when there’s a certain Mick Taylor lurking in the shadows of the Outback.
Check out the trailer below, it does show a lot of the big events we feel but still worth a watch! It stars Ryan Corr (Love Child and the upcoming THE WATER DIVINER) and Shannon Ashlyn (Love Child) who’ll be on the run more than once we feel:
RLJ Entertainment and Image Entertainment releases the film on VOD first this month in North America on the 17th April, together with a limited cinema run. More dates to be confirmed across the globe!
