Just when you thought you couldn’t possibly get any more Wolverine in your life, along comes Fox with an entire spin-off franchise to fill cinema screens for years to come. That said, last year’s WOLVERINE was actually quite decent, a surprise considering the last attempt to do a solo Wolverine movie (the woeful X-MEN ORIGINS: WOLVERINE), so perhaps a sequel is understandable.
Either way, Hugh Jackman will be returning to our screens in 2017 for the follow-up, directed by James Mangold and currently being written by David James Kelly, who’s just been hired by Fox to pen the superhero script.
Kelly is also on board to write the untitled DAREDEVIL reboot, and to adapt the Dark Horse graphic novel Mind Mgmt for Scott Free Productions and the original pitch Sentinel for Appian Way and Fox.
The currently untitled WOLVERINE sequel is set for release on 3rd March, 2017.
