UK Trailer For ‘3 Days To Kill’ Starring Kevin Costner

I’m going to try and not be too sarcastic with the new UK trailer for 3 DAYS TO KILL because we all love Kevin Costner but this new look at the film directed by McG looks like a YouTube mash-up of any Tom Cruise, Liam Neeson or Matt Damon film. Heck, Costner’s lead character is even called Ethan.

But putting personal – and instant – opinion aside, 3 DAYS TO KILL focuses on the life of Secret Service field agent Ethan Renner (Costner), who has dedicated his life to the CIA but when he’s diagnosed with a terminal illness, he retires in order to reconnect with his family but then, official synopsis time:

When the agency offers him a life-saving experimental drug in exchange for one final but extremely dangerous mission, he reluctantly agrees.  As well as tracking down a ruthless terrorist, he takes sole responsibility for his daughter, endeavouring to complete his two toughest assignments yet.

McG directed THIS MEANS WAR and CHARLIES ANGELS: FULL THROTTLE and although didn’t do too badly with TERMINATOR: SALVATION – that might have had something to do with Christian Bale –  he’s taken on a script written by Luc Besson & Adi Hasak, it also co-stars Amber Heard (The Rum Diary), Hailee Steinfeld (True Grit) and Connie Nielsen (Gladiator).
