After BATMAN VS. SUPERMAN (or whatever they end up calling it) pushed its release date back to 6th May 2016, Warner Bros. and DC were probably hoping that the slated but untitled Marvel film would perhaps go and find somewhere else to frequent. That’s not the case though, and after assuring fans that Marvel wasn’t going anywhere, the secret film can now be revealed as CAPTAIN AMERICA 3. The timing of this announcement couldn’t be any better, as CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER press screenings have been held and the buzz is insane with praise.
Directors and writers of the second Captain America installment, Anthony and Joe Russo, have already signed on for the third outing. Now it’s time to play the waiting game as we all take bets on who is going to step back from the date first. Personally, I’d love to see two massive movies open at the same time, but that’s very unlikely. Marvel have also booked 8th July of 2016 for an as yet unnamed film, as well as 5th May 2017.
CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER stars Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Cobie Smulders, Samuel L. Jackson, Hayley Atwell and Robert Redford. The film will be released on 28th March in the UK and on 4th April in the US.

Luke likes many things, films and penguins being among them. He's loved films since the age of 9, when STARGATE and BATMAN FOREVER changed the landscape of modern cinema as we know it. His love of film extends to all aspects of his life, with trips abroad being planned around film locations and only buying products featured in Will Smith movies. His favourite films include SEVEN SAMURAI, PASSION OF JOAN OF ARC, IN BRUGES, LONE STAR, GODZILLA, and a thousand others.
