Although Disney have been releasing a decent amount of images and a beautifully dark trailer for MALEFICENT, they’re still managing to not show everything about the film as a whole – despite what we obviously know – and this makes it quite intriguing for me at the moment.
The film stars Angelina Jolie as the villainous Maleficent, as they tell the story of the events that hardened her heart and drove her to curse young Princess Aurora. These new images give us another look at the mighty Jolie, plus Sharlto Copley as Stefan and the truly stunning-looking environment that’s been created by Director Robert Stromberg, a man who’s also been behind the visuals of PAN’S LABYRINTH, THE HUNGER GAMES, THE GOLDEN COMPASS and LIFE OF PI – so he knows how to make things look pretty special.
The supporting cast include Elle Fanning as Princess Aurora, alongside Miranda Richardson, Peter Capaldi, Elle Fanning, Juno Temple, Sam Riley and a whole host of names. For more about the film, the trailer head here but also here’s those stills to enjoy.
MALEFICENT opens on May 30th.
