Watch: Eric Bana In Two Trailers For ‘Deliver Us From Evil’

Ready for the release of upcoming supernatural horror thriller DELIVER US FROM EVIL? We’ve got two trailers for you to watch!

Previously titled BEWARE THE NIGHT, the film follows an NY cop (Eric Bana) who teams up with a priest (Edgar Ramirez) to solve some particularly horrific murders. Brit Sean Harris plays the baddie – seen in one trailer covered in blood, writing carved over his chest.

Scott Derrickson is at the helm, and he’s already proved his horror credentials with THE EXORCISM OF EMILY ROSE and SINISTER. The trailers don’t deviate much from typical horror fare – the official trailer has some discussions on the nature of “true evil” and daughter-terrorised-by-something-scary, while the second international trailer goes for the exorcism and religious mutterings slant.

As for whether Derrickson’s film is a fresh take on the supernatural horror genre or just a rehashing of familiar tropes…well, you can find out when it’s released this summer.

DELIVER US FROM EVIL co-starring Joel McHale and Olivia Munn, arrives in US cinemas from 2nd July 2014 and in the UK from 22nd August 2014.
