CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER will be the third film in Marvel’s Phase II and we’re really hoping for a step-up from THOR: THE DARK WORLD. All the trailers have been promising so far as Chris Evans returns as the super soldier frozen in the past and thawed in our time. This time he’s battling against a bionic-armed villain known as The Winter Soldier, who has mysterious links to Cap’s past.
This latest poster is pretty much just an action shot of the titular hero. The sequel to CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE FIRST AVENGER looks to have a completely different tone to its predecessor, going for more of a spy-espionage-thriller vibe. Let’s hope both this and the incredible looking GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY bring back a spark of creativity to the Marvel universe.
CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER stars Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Cobie Smulders, Samuel L. Jackson, Hayley Atwell and Robert Redford. The film will be released on 28th March in the UK and on 4th April in the US.
