August 11, 2029 and Los Angeles is a red and grey apocalyptic landscape. In the years after ‘Judgment Day‘ Skynet has reduced humanity to piles of skulls and pockets of resistance fighters, living like hunted animals. If you’re after a TERMINATOR fix, then look no further. Animator Mitchell Hammond has created a fantastically stylish short, BATMAN VERSUS THE TERMINATOR, featuring everyone’s favourite machine pitted against Gotham’s finest.
If you’re a fan of either franchise (or even if you’re not) it’s really worth a watch. Tone, colour and music are all spot on. The short sees the Caped Crusader teaming up with John Connor to help fight the machines. We’ve had Batman crossovers before in the comic world, with Predator, Spawn, Aliens and Judge Dredd. How does this one measure up?

Claire Joanne Huxham comes from the south-west, where the cider flows free and the air smells of manure. She teaches A-level English by day and fights crime by night. When not doing either of these things she can usually be found polishing her Star Trek DVD boxsets. And when she can actually be bothered she writes fiction and poetry that pops up on the web and in print. Her favourite film in the whole world, ever, is BLADE RUNNER.
