BAFTA Shorts Trailer 2014

BAFTA have released a trailer showcasing all the winners and nominess from this year’s competitive Best Short Film and Best Animated Short Film categories, resulting in the BAFTA Shorts. The films are now going on tour around select UK cinemas. This is the second year that BAFTA have decided to take the shorts on the road, after 2013’s successful event. The tour is already set for 16 cinemas across the UK, with more to be announced later. You can find all the dates and places over at the BAFTA website and below the trailer here. The showcase consists of 8 films including ORBIT EVER AFTER, SLEEPING WITH THE FISHES, ISLAND QUEEN, SEA VIEW, EVERYTHING I CAN SEE FROM HERE, KEEPING UP WITH THE JONESES, I AM TOM MOODY, and ROOM 8.

Short films are a great way for new talent to get recognised, as well as being an interesting art form all of its own. The ability to tell engaging narratives in such a short amount of time has always impressed, and this latest batch of films is no exception.

Luke likes many things, films and penguins being among them. He's loved films since the age of 9, when STARGATE and BATMAN FOREVER changed the landscape of modern cinema as we know it. His love of film extends to all aspects of his life, with trips abroad being planned around film locations and only buying products featured in Will Smith movies. His favourite films include SEVEN SAMURAI, PASSION OF JOAN OF ARC, IN BRUGES, LONE STAR, GODZILLA, and a thousand others.
