Even though it seemed like a bit of a bumpy start to begin with – HBO has finally made its announcement that Looking will be returning for a second season.
The series, which stars Jonathan Groff, Frankie J. Alvarez and Murray Barlett, follows a group of friends as they try and find their way in San Francisco. It did not have the best of starts viewing wise, averaging over 300,000 views with the pilot, however as the series has gone on, the gross viewings (that is TV viewings, on demand and repeats)
Along with the announcement of the renewal, it has also been revealed that Russell Tovey (who plays Groff’s character Patrick’s boss Kevin), Lauren Weedman (plays Dom’s roommate Doris) and Raul Castillo (Patrick’s current boyfriend Richie) have all been upped to series regulars alongside the original cast. So we can only hope this means a juicy love triangle between Patrick, Kevin and Richie (you know it makes sense HBO)
Looking is created by Michael Lannan and currently airs on HBO and Sky Atlantic in the UK. It is set to resume filming sometime during the summer.
