Ones To Watch: Pramface Series Three

pramface

So Pramface returns to BBC Three tonight, and if you couldn’t tell already, we’re really excited. It’s all for good reason, of course! As Sean Michael Verey said in our recent interview it’s the funniest series yet…and if episode one is to go by, he is definitely not wrong.

In case you need to re-jog your memory, the end of series two saw Jamie (Verey) and Laura (Scarlett Alice Johnson) finally getting together, but only one episode in to series three Laura is already having doubts. We don’t wanna give too much away (we’ll talk to you all after the episodes airs!) but it plays out in true Pramface fashion with hilarious comedic moments that will have you talking all the way to episode two.

But one of the key things to mention is the fact that Jamie and Laura do take a back seat, which opens up great character development for the supporting characters. We see more of the parents (watch out for the amazing Ben Crompton and Bronagh Gallagher in Sandra and Keith’s search for a new place to live) and Beth (Yasmin Paige) and Mike (Dylan Edwards) story arc comes to a rather interesting turn.

Pramface still feels fresh as episode one, and it still leaves you with a great big smile on your face by the end. Everybody might have grown up a little bit now, but it is still the old Pramface we have come to known and love.

PRAMFACE AIRS TONIGHT AT 10PM ON BBC THREE
