Daniel Radcliffe & Rupert Grint Win West End Awards

Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint

Although both Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint have pursued many film roles post-HARRY POTTER, it seems they’re both rather popular on the West End stage.

This past weekend saw the 14th annual WhatsOnStage Awards ceremony, where Radcliffe was honoured with Best Actor after performing in The Cripple Of Inishmaan. The play was part of a Michael Grandage season, with Grandage being given the Best Director accolade. Daniel’s best buddy Grint was also there to pick up his award for Best Newcomer after appearing in Mojo, by Jez Butterworth. The WhatsOnStage awards are voted for by theatre-goers.

Considering Jazmine grew up watching CARRY ON SCREAMING, THE LION KING and JURASSIC PARK on repeat for weeks on end, it made sense for her to study film at London South Bank University. It’s also a good thing that her course requires a lot of sitting down because she’s very accident-prone. When she’s not examining her bruises, she likes pretending that she doesn’t live in Southend-On-Sea and spends hours mindlessly blogging. Favourite films include BLUE VALENTINE, ETERNAL SUNSHINE OF THE SPOTLESS MIND and TOY STORY 2.
