Heroes To Return With Heroes Reborn: See The Teaser Here

heroes reborn

Heroes had one of the best-ever first seasons of any television show, with the story following ordinary people as they discovered they had incredible powers such as invisibility, the gift of flight and the ability to read the minds of those around them. The show launched the careers of stars such as Hayden Panetierre, Zachary Quinto and Milo Ventimiglia, and spawned several additional seasons. Unfortunately for the show the following seasons never quite lived-up to the superb standard set by the first outing – and it was one of the casualties of the writer’s strike which meant that one season got split in half. By the time it got to the final season most fans were just praying for it to be over.

Now four years on, NBC have announced a revival series for the show entitled Heroes: Reborn. NBC entertainment president Jennifer Salke made the announcement stating that it was time to revisit the world created by Tim Kring, as the first show had such an impact worldwide. Kring himself will be back, with Salke excited to see ‘all the new textures and layers Tim plans to add to his original concept.’

Prior to the television programme airing, there will be a short run of episodes online to introduce viewers to the new characters. As it is still currently in development no casting has been announced, though Kring and Salke have not ruled out the possibility of some of the original cast returning at some point during the run.

Due to the nature of the show we can expect to be kept in the dark for a long while. The show won’t air until 2015 but a teaser has been released which you can see below.

So what do you think? Are you ready to delve back into the world of ordinary folk with extra-ordinary powers, or should the story have stayed on the shelves?

Absolutely awesome. Bring back the beloved characters (Peter, Hiro, Mohinder, Matt, Claire, Noah and even Nikki) and apply the storytelling template from the first two seasons. Nothing can go wrong.
