Jennifer Aniston Up For ‘Mean Girls’-esque ‘Mean Moms’

jennifer aniston

Since Friends, Our Jen has carved out a successful movie career with a succession of comedy roles, most recently with WE’RE THE MILLERS, and it seems she won’t be bucking the trend with MEAN MOMS.

Aniston is currently in talks about taking on a leading role in this new project. MEAN MOMS is adapted from the self-help book by Rosalind Wiseman called (wait for it), Queen Bee Moms and King Pin Dads: Dealing With the Parents, Teachers, Coaches, and Counselors Who Can Make — or Break — Your Child’s Future). Beth McCarthy-Miller is slated to direct the feature from New Line Cinema.

And if you’re wondering about the link to MEAN GIRLS, well, Wiseman also penned its book basis, Queen Bees and Wannabees (that’s the shortened title by the way). MEAN MOMS isn’t a sequel; instead it follows the story of a suburban mum who moves to a new neighbourhood and has to deal with some grown-up mean girls. However we’re thinking MEAN MOMS will surely adapt the same barbed humour and style, no doubt in the hope of replicating MEAN GIRLS’ success.

When not doing either of these things she can usually be found polishing her Star Trek DVD boxsets. And when she can actually be bothered she writes fiction and poetry that pops up on the web and in print. Her favourite film in the whole world, ever, is BLADE RUNNER.
