‘Transformers 4’ Star Raynor Set For ‘Episode VII’?

Yet another name has been linked to a galaxy far, far away. Rising young Irish actor Jack Raynor, recently seen in comedy DELIVERY MAN opposite Vince Vaughn and will next feature strongly in Michael Bay’s TRANSFORMERS: AGE OF EXTINCTION, is said to have locked an integral role in the latest STAR WARS adventure. As always, until something concrete comes from Disney and LucasFilm it’s all speculation but with shooting set to be begin in a matter of months and a casting announcement expected soon, this could have a little more weight than those earlier rumours.

Raynor’s role could be that of the speculated young male offspring of Han Solo and Princess Leia, who is trained in the Jedi arts by Uncle Luke. The departed Michael Arndt’s earlier script is said to have included this family element but with director J.J. Abrams and Lawrence Kasdan having re-written the screenplay, it’s not know if this will follow the same path.

STAR WARS: EPISODE VII will begin filming in the UK this May. The original trio of Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher are almost certain to be included in the cast.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
