You’d think that Robert De Niro would have had his fill of boxing movies by now, but apparently not. The Hollywood legend will return to screens alongside Edgar Ramirez, Ellen Barkin, and John Turturro in HANDS OF STONE, a film that revolves around boxer Roberto Duran and his equally legendary trainer Ray Arcel, who changed each other’s lives.
Ramirez stars as Duran while De Niro assumes the role of Arcel.
Musician and actor Usher Raymond also stars in the film as fellow legend of the ring Sugar Ray Leonard. The Daily Mail posted some set pics from the film’s New York showing off De Niro’s aged look, but the above promotional pics is our first official look at the movie.
HANDS OF STONE is set to open later this year.
