One of the greatest television shows of the 1980s was THE EQUALISER. Hands down. Denzel Washington will be bringing a new version of that to screens later this year. The other great TV show of that decade was KNIGHT RIDER, and the word around the Hollywood camp fire is that a new movie version of it is headed to cinemas too, courtesy of none other than The Weinstein Company. The big question is – ‘who could possibly replace David Hasselhoff in the central role of Michael Knight?’ Well, either Chris Pratt or Danny McBride, that is who.
The rumour mill suggests that McBride and Pratt, who stars in this weeks big opener THE LEGO MOVIE (well, his voice does), and the bound-to-be-massive GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY this summer, will head to the black Trans-Am for a new, sexy, modern version of the camp 80s show, which is being written by Brad Copeland (YOGI BEAR, The Inbetweeners US redo and My Name Is Earl). We don’t know who will be playing Knight, but sources suggest that it would be Pratt snuggling into the tight stone-washed jeans and McBride providing the voice of talking car KITT.

Anyway, these rumours stemmed from an insider over at this website who said:
Thought you’d be interested in knowing, Chris Pratt and Danny McBride are in talks for the KNIGHT RIDER remake at The Weinstein Company.
Awesome. Well up for this. More at the end of the link above.
Had to post this as well.
