Sigh. Do we really need another Terminator film? Don’t answer that, because if we like it or not, we bloody well are getting one as TERMINATOR: GENESIS continues onto the casting stages. The pivotal role of Kyle Reese, played by Michael Biehn in the original movie, and then Anton Yelchin in the last film TERMINATOR: SALVATION, has been narrowed down to two actors for the fifth Termninator big-screen outing.
Who are the two actors?
Jai Courtney and Boyd Holbrook are those two actors. Courtney we know from a decent turn in JACK REACHER and erm, that last DIE HARD movie which we’ll mention no more about. Holbrook is less known, but he does have a slew of new movies on the horizon for 2014 and beyond, including David Fincher’s GONE GIRL, and Gavin O’Connor’s JANE’S GOT A GUN.
Big Arnold Schwarzenegger will return to the franchise for TERMINATOR: GENESIS, alongside Emilia Clarke from TV’s Game Of Thrones, who plays the new Sarah Connor.
Alan Taylor will direct the film, which is due next summer.
