Kevin Smith’s bizarro walrus horror TUSK will now have a worldwide distribution, thanks to Sony.

Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquisitions picked up the feature at the European Film Market in Berlin, which has just ended. They’ll be responsible for distributing TUSK in the U.K., Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Latin America, Italy, Benelux, Scandinavia, Eastern Europe, South Africa, Portugal, Spain and Greece, with additional territories to be announced. A24 Films is already dealing with US distribution to movie theatres this autumn.

The script is written by Smith and based on an episode of his podcast show SModcast. Starring Genesis Rodriguez, Haley Joel Osment, Justin Long and Michael Parks, the story involves a mysterious disappearance in the woods and er, walrus costumes.

TUSK is currently in post-production and will arrive in cinemas later this year.
