From those lovely folk over at Koch Media UK (and Bankside Films) we’ve got a couple of new stills from the Simon Pegg-starring HECTOR AND THE SEARCH FOR HAPPINESS that definitely has that indie vibe from this first trailer, like a budget THE SECRET LIFE OF WALTER MITTY with a more British feel and a truly great cast.
The film tells the story of Hector (Pegg), an eccentric yet lovable London psychiatrist who finds himself at a crossroads: His patients just aren’t getting any happier and his life is going nowhere. Trying to find himself again, and with support fro his girlfriend Clara (Rosamund Pike), Hector decides to break away from his sheltered life and go on a global quest to find out whether happiness truly exists – and more importantly, whether it exists for Hector.
I’ll be keeping an eye out for this one and here’s hoping it finds that right side of the human spirit and what’s possible when you step outside of what you think you know. Those new stills now, as promised:
HECTOR AND THE SEARCH FOR HAPPINESS is directed by Peter Chelsom and stars Simon Pegg, Rosamund Pike, Toni Collette, Christopher Plummer, Jean Reno and Stellan Skarsgard, and is set to open in UK cinemas this Autumn.
