Michael Fassbender is truly unrecognisable in his latest role as FRANK, a papier-mache-headed singer. Keyboardist Jon (Domhnall Gleeson) soon joins Frank’s band and finds himself on a strange adventure of music and comedy. Based on the character of Frank Sidebottom, the cult comedic personality created by Chris Sievey, the film is said to be based on Sievey’s life but also has a fictional element to it. It’s already received some glowing reviews from the festival circuit and as these stills seem to suggest, it’s going to be a fun and celebratory mix of music and comedy.
FRANK is released in the UK on 2nd May. It stars Michael Fassbender, Domhnall Gleeson, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Scoot McNairy, Tess Harper, and Hayley Derryberry.
