Oscar nominated Greek director Yorgos Lanthimos is preparing for his English language debut, THE LOBSTER, and he has cast two great actors in the form of Colin Farrell and Rachel Weisz. With both stars attached, Lanthimos is hoping to generate some monetary interest at the European Film Market in Berlin. Farrell and Weisz join the already cast Ben Whishaw,Lea Seydoux, Olivia Colman, ArianeLabed and Aggeliki Papoulia, with a view to start shooting on 24th March in Farrell’s homeland of Ireland.
The film has one of the best synopsis I have ever read, as single people are rounded up and put into ‘The Hotel’. If they fail to find love, they are released into the wild as an animal of their choosing. Personally, I’d be a penguin or a red panda. Lanthimos gave us the wonderful DOGTOOTH, and with a cast of this caliber, we can only hope for another great film.

Luke likes many things, films and penguins being among them. He's loved films since the age of 9, when STARGATE and BATMAN FOREVER changed the landscape of modern cinema as we know it. His love of film extends to all aspects of his life, with trips abroad being planned around film locations and only buying products featured in Will Smith movies. His favourite films include SEVEN SAMURAI, PASSION OF JOAN OF ARC, IN BRUGES, LONE STAR, GODZILLA, and a thousand others.
