The official website for Matt Reeves’ primate sequel DAWN OF THE PLANET OF THE APES has been updated with new images showcasing its dystopian setting.
The sequel, set 15 years after Rupert Wyatt’s superb RISE OF THE PLANET OF THE APES, follows a band of human survivors as they struggle against the eponymous ape uprising, led by Andy Serkis’ mo-capped monkey Caesar.
Check out the artwork below, which shows a world divided in two – the forest apes and the humans in the ruins of civilisation – and be sure to take a look at the first official trailer for the film before it arrives later this year.
The film stars Andy Serkis, Jason Clarke, Gary Oldman, Keri Russell, Toby Kebbell, Kodi Smith-McPhee, Enrique Murciano and Kirk Acevedo, and is directed by Matt Reeves. It’s due for UK release on 17th July, 2014.
