STARRED UP originally screened at the London Film Festival 2013 with plaudits from all (including our own Sam Carey), and now we’ve got the new UK trailer for poster for this gritty and original British thriller, which opens in UK cinemas on March 21st.
The film directed by David Mackenzie stars Jack O’Connell as 19 year-old Eric Love, a violent and troubled teenager making the difficult transition from a young offenders’ institute to adult prison. He seems to be destined for a life behind bars, but the prison’s unconventional therapist (Homeland‘s Rupert Friend) is determined to help Eric find a way through, assisted by of one of the prison’s longest serving inmates — Neville (the brilliant Ben Mendelsohn) — who just happens to be Eric’s father.
