ARROW is doing tremendously well for Warner Bros. and CW, and with a JUSTICE LEAGUE film rumoured to be in the works after BATMAN VS SUPERMAN, it is only natural that the show’s star Stephen Amell would be rumoured to take his version of The Green Arrow to the silver screen. Amell himself recently discussed the prospect:
All we have to do for something like that to happen, or even be a possibility, is continue to take care of business with our show and then we put ourselves in a position – but the important thing is our show. I have had discussions, but I think the gestation process for this project is a lot slower than most people think. I mean, they haven’t even shot the next one. They haven’t even shot a frame of the movie before the movie everyone thinks is the Justice League movie!
He later chose to clarify on Facebook that the talks have never been official, saying ‘At no point, have I had ‘studio level’ discussions about any feature films at Warner Bros.’. I think Amell has done a good job on the show, and it would be a clever way to synergize by having the character appear in a potential JUSTICE LEAGUE film. I also think that people tend to blow nothing comments completely out of proportion as I can’t see anything in his interview that seems to state that they were in serious discussions about it, yet he still had to come out and say so just to clarify, but I digress. Hopefully, if everything goes well with Cavill Vs Affleck, the film will indeed come to fruition and Amell will get the chance to shine on the big screen.
