THE SKELETON TWINS, starring Kristen Wiig and Bill Hader, has been acquired by three companies after premiering at the 2014 Sundance Film Festival.
Wiig and Hader feature as Maggie and Milo, estranged twins who have to reconcile after being unexpectedly reunited, forcing them to reflect on where their lives went so wrong. Directed by Craig Johnson (TRUE ADOLESCENTS) and co-starring Luke Wilson and Ty Burrell, Lionsgate, Roadside Attractions and Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquisitions have picked up joint rights for the film’s distribution; Lionsgate and Roadside Attractions for within the US, SPWA for territories worldwide.
I’m a huge fan of both Kristen and Bill, especially after seeing clips of them working together on Saturday Night Live. Although both hilarious in their own way, it’ll be interesting to see how they deal with more serious topics.

Considering Jazmine grew up watching CARRY ON SCREAMING, THE LION KING and JURASSIC PARK on repeat for weeks on end, it made sense for her to study film at London South Bank University. It’s also a good thing that her course requires a lot of sitting down because she’s very accident-prone. When she’s not examining her bruises, she likes pretending that she doesn’t live in Southend-On-Sea and spends hours mindlessly blogging. Favourite films include BLUE VALENTINE, ETERNAL SUNSHINE OF THE SPOTLESS MIND and TOY STORY 2.
