Robert M. Edsel’s fact-based novel THE MONUMENTS MEN is brought to life in a matter of weeks with Oscar-winning filmmaker and actor George Clooney’s assembling an international all-star cast. The historical war drama, which given those involved is sure to have its fair share of lighthearted and comedic moments, centres on the secret group of art specialists chosen by the U.S. government and sanctioned by President Franklin D. Roosevelt himself, to enter Germany and retrieve artwork stolen by the Nazi Party during World War II.
We’ve a collection of five clips from the film that includes Matt Damon, Cate Blanchett, Hugh Bonneville, Bob Balaban, John Goodman, Bill Murray, Jean Dujardin and of course Clooney. Check them out below.
THE MONUMENTS MEN is released in US cinemas from the 7th February and the UK a few weeks later on the 21st February.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
