THE TALE OF TALES will be the next ambitious project from two-time Grand Prize Jury Winner at the Cannes Film Festival, Matteo Garrone. Garrone directed the brilliant fashion and crime film GOMORRA and the comedy REALITY, which saw a fishmonger pursuing a role on reality TV. His latest film, THE TALE OF TALES will be Garrone’s first English language film, however the production will be kept to Italy where the film will also be set.
Salma Hayek and Vincent Cassel have joined the cast and the film will start shooting this spring. The film gives modern twists to Italian folktales and under Garrone’s direction, it promises to be very interesting indeed. We can expect a premiere at the 2015 Cannes Film Festival. Garrone’s work has impressed me over the years, especially with the unflinching GOMORRA. Hopefully this will bring even more attention to his brave work.

Luke likes many things, films and penguins being among them. He's loved films since the age of 9, when STARGATE and BATMAN FOREVER changed the landscape of modern cinema as we know it. His love of film extends to all aspects of his life, with trips abroad being planned around film locations and only buying products featured in Will Smith movies. His favourite films include SEVEN SAMURAI, PASSION OF JOAN OF ARC, IN BRUGES, LONE STAR, GODZILLA, and a thousand others.
