Momentum is continuing to build around the J. J. Abrams piloted next instalment of the STAR WARS franchise.
Speaking at the Television Critics Association press tour on Sunday, he confirmed the script is complete by saying:
“We’ve got our script. Full steam ahead.”
Abrams also teased us with confirmation that Breaking Bad’s Jesse Plemons (creepy Todd in the series) has auditioned for a role. However the STAR TREK reboot and SUPER 8 director remained tight lipped about what – if any – role Plemons might take.
It’s another rumour to add to the growing collection; original STAR WARS actors Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford have all been linked to the project.

Claire Joanne Huxham comes from the south-west, where the cider flows free and the air smells of manure. She teaches A-level English by day and fights crime by night. When not doing either of these things she can usually be found polishing her Star Trek DVD boxsets. And when she can actually be bothered she writes fiction and poetry that pops up on the web and in print. Her favourite film in the whole world, ever, is BLADE RUNNER.
